"Model code of conduct has come into effect in all these 80 gram panchayats whose tenure ends between June and September 2017," State Election Commissioner J S Saharia said in a statement here.
Nomination papers will be accepted between 5 and 12 May. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on May 15, and the last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is May 17.
In the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district, polling will be held between 7.30 am to 3 pm, while elsewhere it will be between 7.30 am to 6.30 pm.
Counting of votes will take place on May 29.
