Centre not cooperating with UP on development: Akhilesh

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today charged the central government with "not cooperating" with Uttar Pradesh on the issue of its development, despite maximum number of MPs to the ruling BJP coming from the state.
"Despite the ruling party getting maximum MPs from Uttar Pradesh, they are not cooperating in its development", Yadav alleged.
He was speaking at a public meeting after inaugurating three solar power plants of 10 MW capacity each in Amrapur area at a cost of Rs 80 crore each.
He also hit at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his foreign trips saying if they result in investment in the country it will be good but it will have to be ensured that the profits "do not go out of country".

Alleging that the Centre was "indulging in politics" also on the issue of farmers' welfare, Yadav claimed that SP government was "farmer-friendly" and was doing "two times more" for them than earlier governments.
Charging the BJP and Congress of indulging in politics on the issue of land acquisition bill, Yadav said that his party believes that land should not be acquired without the assent of farmers.
"The farmers of the state are not anti-development", he said.
Citing the various schemes being run by his government for the development of Bundelkhand, he alleged that central government did not take up any development works for the region and also lashed out at the previous BSP government, saying their ministers are in jail for years now.
