"The minister has made a request to set up NIMZ at Kalinga Nagar. I will check the papers and follow it up," said Union Minister of state (Independent Charge) for Industry and Commerce Nirmala Sitharaman.
Earlier, Odisha Industries Minister Devi Prasad Mishra had urged the the Union minister to consider the proposal of setting up NIMZ in the state.
Kalinganagar in Jajpur district, described as the steel hub of Odisha houses major steel industries like Tatas, Jindal, Mesco, NINL, and others.
