Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu said in Lok Sabha that government is undertaking a review of the matter as it has received complaints from some members.
He said this in response to a complaint by Arvind Sawant (Shiv Sena) during Zero Hour.
Naidu said official functions should be held on Saturdays and Sundays so that MPs would be able to participate in them as local representatives. In such functions, the MPs are expected to be seated on the dais.
Raising the issue, Sawant lamented the treatment being meted out to him in such functions and sought to know what the protocol for the lawmakers is.
He said sometimes he is extended an invitation just a day or even an hour before such a function and is generally seated in the audience.
