Fernandes accompanied by his wife visited the residence of Jacinta at Shirva, called on her mother-in-law Carmine Barboza and offered his condolences to the family.
The government will help the family in bringing the body of Jacinta, he said.
Jacinta who worked as nurse at the King Edward-VII hospital reportedly ended her life last week after she fell victim to a prank call by two RJs of a private radio channel, who managed to get information on Prince William wife Kate Middleton health status.
