"The matter is lingering for the past 10 years and the state government has been pursuing the matter with the Ministry of Civil Aviation," Khadu said in response to a question raised by Congress MLA Nabam Tuki during the question hour in the Assembly.
The state cabinet on May 18 this year had selected Hollongi as the site for the proposed airport, he said.
