The web magazine would offer extensive coverage on the Malayalam film industry showcasing news relating to art and mainstream films, academy sources said.
The website would be prepared by the state-owned Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT).
The features proposed for the site include a 'review section' and 'industry news'. News on latest releases and ongoing projects, academy activities, technology update, market analysis and columns by critics and filmmakers would figure in the site.
With a view to encouraging marketing of Malayalam films by new filmmakers, previews of their films would be posted on the webstite, the sources said.
Reviews of books on films would also be available on the website.
