The Kerala government will soon approach the Centre for safe return of people belonging to the state in strife-torn Yemen.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will soon talk to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for the safe return of people from the state in that country, sources close to the CM said.
The Indian embassy has shut down in Yemen and is now operating from Djibouti.
The state government said people who plan to return are finding it difficult to do so as the conflict has intensified in Yemen.
Diplomatic efforts are required to pull Indians out of the conflict zone, according to it.
