Changes on Madurai-Tuticorin sector due to electrifica'on work

: Southern Railway today announced a change in pattern of train services in the Madurai-Tuticorin sector due to electrification work.
The changes would be in effect from September 6 to 8 and on the 10th. There would be no change on September 9, a Railway press release said.
On Sept 6, the Sengottai-Madurai passenger would be partially cancelled between Virudunagar and Madurai and partially cancelled between the two towns in the return direction.
On that day, the Tiruchendur-Palani passenger will be regulated at Virudunagar for 40 minutes and arrive at Palani at 20.00 hours.
The Coimbatore-Nagercoil passenger would be regulated at Madurai for 30 minutes on Sept 6, it said.
The following day the Tiruchendur- Palani passenger would be regulated at Sattur for 20 minutes and arrive at Palani at 20.00 hours.
On Sept 8 the Palani- Tiruchendur passenger would be partially cancelled between Satur and Tirunelveli. It would return from Satur to Palani on scheduled timings.
The release said Tiruchendur- Palani passenger would be partially cancelled between Tirunelveli and Satur. It would return from Tirunelveli to Tiruchendur on scheduled timings
On sept 10, the Palani- Tiruchendur passenger would be partially cancelled between Kovilpatti and Tirunelveli. It would return from Kovilpatti to Palani on scheduled timings.
Also, the Tiruchendur-Palani passenger would be partially cancelled on sep 10 between Tirunelveli and Kovilpatti. It would return from Tirunelveli to Tiruchendur on scheduled timings, the release said.
