The first such camp was held here today with 600 children of various personnel and their families participating in the career planning discussion of the youngsters.
A senior Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officer said the initiative has been taken under the aegis of the wives welfare association of the force 'Sanrakshika' as part of the social initiatives undertaken for the welfare of the families of the force, which is mandated to secure all civilian airports in the country including protecting vital infrastructure.
During the inaugural event here, expert career counsellor Jitendra Nagpal told the children and their parents about some of the regular and new avenues of work and avocation that the students of the CISF families can hope to prepare for, once they complete their 10+2 education.
