The personnel of the force were working on a police complaint of a woman from Uttarakhand whose chain was snatched outside the Malviya Nagar Metro station on July 17.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel tracked the suspects on the CCTV monitoring system and nabbed one Shanker (33) from outside Saket Metro station yesterday after which he accepted to have committed the crime, officials said, adding that he has been handed over to police.
In a separate case, a CISF constable came in for praise after he returned a bag containing over Rs 1.42 lakh cash to its owner, who had forgotten it at Rajdhani Park Metro station today.
