Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today supported UPA government's decision to carve out a state of Telangana from Andhra Pradesh and said his party was for small states.
"We have been supporters of creation of small states," Kumar told reporters in reply to a question.
Kumar said small states made for good governance and were bettered administered.
On scepticism about the number of states growing in with the creation of smaller ones, the chief minister said there was no problem if there were more states after reorganisation as the thrust should be on providing good governance and administration.
