"A fire broke out at a cloth godown in a three-storey building in Chomu today. Three fire tenders were rushed from Jaipur to douse flames," Fire officer Ishwar Jat said.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
As the city celebrated Diwali, fire tenders were busy attending to as many as 40 fire incidents reported last night, which were controlled in time.
Around 60 persons, including children, who suffered burn injuries in separate incidents were treated at SMS hospital while 20 other cases were reported to different hospitals, sources said.
"Special arrangements were made to maintain law and order and police parties and senior officers were on patrolling till wee hours," Additional Police Commissioner Girraj Meena said.
Visitors thronged the markets in the walled city till past midnight on Diwali to revel in festivities.
