The Delhi High Court today granted anticipatory bail to the manager and a bouncer of a club here in a case relating to a brawl in which Parth Wadia, grandson of liquor baron Kishanlal Wadia, was accused of assaulting the pub's staff along with his friends and security personnel.
Justice Sudershan Kumar Misra granted the anticipatory bail to Sukhvinder Singh, manager of club Keya at DLF Promenade Mall here and Deepal Uppal, a bouncer in the pub, on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and a surety of like amount.
The court, meanwhile, directed them to join the probe and not leave the country without its permission.
"Keeping in mind the fact that the matter has been settled by both the parties, petitioner is entitled to anticipatory bail," the court said.
While granting them the relief, the court also took into account that bail has been granted to all the people, arrested in the case, including Wadia who was granted anticipatory bail on August 4.
Some men, including a relative of an MLA, accompanied by armed bodyguards, had on June 27 night turned violent when bouncers denied them entry into club Keya, police said.
It had said they have been booked with attempt to murder under the IPC and under the Arms Act.
Police had registered two FIRs, one against the bouncers and the other against the alleged mischief-makers.
The police had said one of the PSOs of Wadia had shown a revolver and threatened to kill the bouncers and staff of the club. One of the PSOs had allegedly assaulted a bouncer with a sharp-edged weapon, it had claimed.
