Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today felicitated a contingent of Odisha Police that took part in the Independence Day parade in Kolkata, an official said.
The team from Odisha was adjudged the Best Marching Contingent among other squadrons of armed forces and paramilitary forces in West Bengal, he said.
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee awarded them a trophy for the achievement.
Congratulating the officers today, Patnaik said he was happy with the performance of the officers and expected them to fare well in future endeavours.
The officers, on their part, presented their trophy to Patnaik during the felicitation programme.
