CM flags off 440 new buses

Jayalalithaa today flagged off a new fleet of 440 new buses, which will be operated in different parts of the state.
Jayalalithaa flagged off the buses from the state secretariat here, an official release said.
The 440 buses, estimated to cost Rs 100.18 crore, among others, include vehicles meant for 23 new routes here besides those for Coimbatore, Salem and Tirunelveli.
As many as 18 'Small Buses' meant for hilly areas were also flagged off by the Chief Minister, it said.
