The investigation officer (IO) furnished details of he status of the public servants in the court, which fixed the matter for consideration on January 21.
CBI had earlier filed a supplementary closure report in the case regarding the role of government servants who were allegedly involved in allocating the coal block to the accused firm.
During the hearing, the court also allowed an application filed by Vijay Darda's counsel seeking exemption from personal appearance on medical grounds for today.
CBI has chargesheeted Vijay Darda, his son Devendra Darda, Manoj Jayaswal, Director of AMR Iron and Steel Pvt Ltd, and the firm, as accused in the case for offences under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) read with 420 (cheating) of IPC and under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
