The intense cold wave continued without any respite in Himachal as minimum temperatures hovered around freezing point and stayed below 5 degrees Celsius at most places.
The sky remained partially overcast and strong velocity icy winds swept through the region while a pale sun failed to warm up the region.
High altitude tribal areas shivered under freezing cold wave conditions with mercury staying between minus 16 and minus 23 degrees Celsius and Kalpa and Keylong in tribal areas recorded a low of minus 6.6 and minus 5.7 degrees Celsius.
Manali recorded a low of minus 0.8 degrees Celsius followed by Solan 0.6, Shimla 1.3, Dalhousie 1.6, Bhuntar 3.5, Dharamsala 4.2, Sundernagar 4.9, Palampur 4.9 and Nahaan 6.8 degrees Celisus.
There was no significant change in maximum temperature except in Una which recorded a high of 18.2 degrees Celsius against 12.2 degrees Celsius yesterday.
The local MeT office has predicted more rains or snow at isolated places in the state over the next three days from tomorrow.
