A few trains were also delayed including 14217 Unchahar Express from Allahabad to Chandigarh by over ten hours and 15011 Lucknow-Chandigarh by over two hours, officials said.
The minimum temperature at Hisar was recorded at 2.4 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal level, it said.
The minimum temperatures at Ambala and Bhiwani in Haryana were recorded at 5.3 and 6 degrees Celsius respectively.
Amritsar's low settled at 5.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature at Patiala was recorded at 5.4 degrees Celsius.
However, Chandigarh recorded a three degree above normal minimum temperature at 8.6 degrees Celsius.
