Kandhamal remained the coldest zone in the state, as the district headquarter town of Phulbani recorded a minimum of 5.4 degrees Celsius.
The mercury stood at 7.5 degrees Celsius at the picturesque Daringibadi in the mountainous district, the MeT department here said.
The minimum temperature stood at 10 degrees Celsius or below in at least seven places.
The minimum temperature at both Sundargarh and Bhawanipatna stood at 7 degrees Celsius, while it was 8.5 degrees Celsius in Talcher, 9/6 degrees Celsius at Angul and 10 degrees Celsius in Sambalpur.
