Strong velocity icy winds swept the region under partially overcast sky, causing marginal drop in the maximum day temperatures.
Keylong was coldest during the day with the maximum temperature at 6.5 degrees Celsius, while Kalpa, Shimla and Dharamsala recorded a high of 10.2 degrees Celsius, 13.6 degrees Celsius, 15.4 degrees Celsius and 17.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Nahan 19.3 degrees Celsius, Palampur 19.6 degrees Celsius, Solan 20 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 21.5 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar 23 degrees Celsius.
The local Meteorological (MeT) office has forecast rains or snow in the mid and higher hills on February 6 and rains, thundershowers or snow in the lower, mid and higher hills.
The weather would remain dry in the region for four days, it said.
