In order to make party president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi's farmers' rally a success, Congress has formed various committees to look into the preparations.
According to the party, over one lakh farmers from Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and other States would be participating in the Kissan Rally to be held on April 19.
DPCC chief Ajay Maken will head the Co-ordination Committee while 10 sub-committees have also been formed to oversee the preparations.
DPCC chief spokesperson Sharmishta Mukherjee said, "rally would be held against anti-farmer Land Acquisition Ordinance, passed by the BJP-led Union Government".
She said that this rally will receive tremendous response from farmers across the country.
