Congress today dismissed as "mirage" possibility of formation of a third front or Federal front in the country.
"The Federal Front or the Fourth Front or the Third Front is the permanent mirage of Indian politics", party spokesman Manish Tewari told reporters.
He suggested that such fronts prop up off and on and vanish from the scene on their own.
Tewari was asked whether the presence of several non-BJP and non-Congress Chief Ministers at the swearing in of Mamata Banerjee as West Bengal Chief Minister signalled formation of any such front.
