Cong flays Modi over AP bifurcation remark

Congress today criticised Narendra Modi for his remarks that the party pressed ahead with the division of Andhra Pradesh without taking people into confidence, saying the BJP prime ministerial candidate is making "wrong" statements to mislead people during the polls.
"Since the polling is yet to take place in Seemandhra, Modi has started campaigning there that Telangana was formed without consulting other political parties," party spokesman and Union Minister Anand Sharma told reporters.
"But the fact of the matter is that when a decision on separate Telangana was taken, Modi had tweeted to sought to take credit for the move," he said.

"The problem with the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate is that he makes wrong statements day in and day out in order to mislead people in the polls," Sharma said.
Addressing a rally in Visakhapatnam yesterday, Modi alleged that Congress pressed ahead with the division of Andhra Pradesh without taking people into confidence.
