Congress today kept up the suspense on the issue of whether Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi would seek bail after appearing before court here on Saturday in the National Herald case.
"Still there are two days. Lot of time.....(for the decision decision to be taken) on the spot. It will be taken in accordance with what advice the lawyers will give," Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad told reporters.
He was asked whether the Gandhis, who have been summoned by a court in connection with the case, would seek bail as there was speculation that they would not do so to draw political mileage out of it.
They have been summoned by the trial court on prima facie charges of criminal conspiracy, cheating, criminal breach of trust and dishonest misappropriation of property under relevant sections of the law.
The case has arisen out of a private criminal complaint filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy.
Azad, who is a senior Congress spokesman, said the party chief, vice president and the entire leadership of the party have full faith in judiciary and the law of the land.
"Whatever we shall have to do, whatever instruments we have to use, we will use" in the case, he said without elaboration.
Azad, however, dismissed suggestions that the AICC has asked partymen to converge in the national capital on that day as a mark of solidarity with the leadership. "No one has been asked to come to Delhi," he said.
In reply to another question, he said party MPs in both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha have been asked to be in Delhi till the winter session concludes on December 23.
