Cong rule in Delhi, Centre helped growth of Delhi: Dikshit

"Delhi has grown 21-22 per cent and this is a testament to the policies adopted by the Congress government at the Centre and in Delhi," Dikshit said after unveiling the book 'On the Pathways of Development' by Hari Singhania, President of JK Organisations.

Budding entrepreneurs face various challenges in doing business in India because of Indian society's heterogeneity and its pluralistic nature, she said.

Singhania said, "I entered the business arena when the economy was under 'license raj' and when we were witnessing policy changes. Today, we have shunned Centralisation and moved towards a market-controlled economy through Public Private Partnership (PPP)."

Sanjaya Baru, Director, Geo-economics and Strategy, International Institute for Strategic Studies, said, "Indian business must speak a bold language not just to the challenges imposed by China but also about the evolving vibrant Indian economy."
