Delhi Congress president Ajay Maken, who led the delegation, said, "Kejriwal government should immediately regularise contract employees with DTC and till completion of the regularisation process, they should be paid salaries on par with the regular employees."
The delegation also included Congress leaders of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).
Maken also demanded that DTC should immediately terminate the annual maintenance contract given to a private company as it is threatening to render thousands of employees jobless.
DTC should replenish its depleted bus fleet without further delay as the shortage of buses have affected public transport in Delhi causing "terrible" inconvenience to commuters, he claimed.
