"We had given the government time till today to release the youths but there is no news to this effect," state Congress spokesperson Sukhpal Singh Khaira told PTI this evening.
Khaira said his party would gherao the Deputy Chief Minster when he comes to Jalandhar as chief guest for the closing ceremony of a local hockey tournament.
He said that that the 18 Sikh youths were arrested when they had protested recently against SAD MLA Jagir Kaur, former MLA Sarabjit Makkar and other leaders when they visited a gurudwara in Kapurthala district.
