Consecration of Chakrapaniswamy temple performed

: Braving incessant rain, a large number of devotees participated in the consecration ceremony of the famous Sri Chakrapaniswamy temple near the Cauvery river here today.
The temple, along with other Vaishnava shrines are connected with the Mahamaham festival here
The presiding deity will be taken in a procession on a 'Garuda Vahana' later this evening, temple sources said.
