Hardline Hurriyat Conference Chairman Syed Ali Shah Geelani today asked Pakistan Prime Minister-designate Nawaz Sharif to clarify his stand on Kashmir, saying there should be no "midway or substitute solution" to the issue.
"While dealing with India...The negotiations should be result-oriented and not at the cost of aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir," Geelani said in a congratulatory letter to Sharif, copies of which were released here.
Geelani said Sharif's stand with respect to Kashmir dispute must be "unambiguous" and measures to find a lasting solution to Kashmir issue should not be "cosmetic in nature".
