Announcing this here today, state secretariat sources said that the control room would be set up at the chamber of Principal Secretary, Disaster Management, and would remain operational round-the-clock from 8.00 AM on January 13 0till 8.00 AM on Jan 16.
Headed by a secretary-level officer, the control panel would be assisted by some joint secretaries and officers in the Disaster Management department.
Besides, one police officer in the rank of IGP and one police officer from Kolkata Police in the rank of Deputy Commissioner would also be present in the control room.
The control rooom would be responsible for coordinating matters relating to health, fire, civil defence and security aspects, the sources said.
