Cop suspended for circulating obscene video

A sub-inspector of Vasant Kunj (North) Police Station was today suspended for allegedly circulating an obscene video of a transgender person and creating a ruckus at the police station premises.
"It was insensible on part of an officer to indulge in such an act. He has been suspended for that and a preliminary enquiry has been initiated against him," Additional DCP (South) Nupur Prasad said.
A case under relevant sections of IT Act has been registered against unknown persons in connection with the incident, Prasad added.
The incident took place when a transgender person had a fight with an auto driver and they reached Vasant Kunj (North) police station.

While officials were trying to resolve the tiff, the transgender person got infuriated over something at the police station and started stripping which was recorded by the sub-inspector and later circulated to others, he said.
