Additional Sessions Judge Chandrashekhar Jha also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 each on Rahman and his wife Naseema for murdering Nurjahan Khatun, the wife of Rahman's elder brother Md Alauddin.
The judge ordered that the convicts would have to undergo imprisonment for an additional six months in the event of non-payment of the fine.
According to the prosecution, the couple had tied the victim to a pillar and badly beat her up as a result she died on the spot in Bhendmara locality under Mansahi police station area in Bihar on January 10, 2015.
