Couple shot dead

A young couple was allegedly shot dead while they were asleep in Mahuataal village under Leharpur police station area here, police said today. The couple identified as Raghvendra Singh (35) and Shashi Singh (32) were sleeping outside their house with their 5-year-old son, who is deaf and mute, when they were shot dead by unidentified persons last night, police said. The other family members came running after hearing the gun shots, police said, adding that old enmity could be the reason behind the crime.
