"We are going to work on new and more innovative weather forecasting (coupled weather forecast) in coming time, which will be put in implementation very soon in next week or so," Minister of state for Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Singh told reporters here.
"CWF will give us forecast after every three hours and it will be used during Amarnath yatra," he said, adding the new technology will also be used for monsoon forecasting.
"We must have mechanism of periodic weather forecasting across the 24 hours -- and in every three or 4 hours with the CWF mechanism -- which was not being used earlier", he said.
Singh was given a rousing reception by state BJP leaders at Kachi Chawani-based state headquarters as he arrived here after becoming Union Minister.
