The 36-year-old "Coyote Ugly" star, who plays a plays CIA agent Annie Walker in 'Covert Affairs', is said to be over the moon after her engagement to Kay.
Kay started his career as an actor and had a regular role on "General Hospital", reported People Magazine.
Perabo was nominated for Golden Globe Awards for her role as Walker.
The final six episodes of season four of 'Covert Affairs' will resume from October 17.
