"The fatal attacks on prisoners - Sarabjit Singh in Pakistan and Sonaullah Ranjay in Jammu jail are equally condemnable. "Be it the border skirmishes, terror attacks or fatal attacks on prisoners, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are direct victims of any type of confrontation between India and Pakistan," Tarigami told the Prime Minister, asking him to take measures for reducing tension and estrangement between the two countries.
