The CPI(M) today flayed Lt Governor Kiran Bedi for "blocking development of Puducherry" by adopting "an arbitrary and non-cooperative stand."
CPI(M) Puducherry unit secretary R Rajangam in a press release here said Bedi had from day one of her tenure in May last year been functioning without adhering to the "spirit of federalism enshrined in the Constitution."
He alleged that she had been carrying on a "parallel administration instead of functioning in tandem with the elected government."
Taking strong exception to the "unbridled comments and observations Bedi had been making through her Twitter handle," the CPI(M) leader said an end should be put to this trend in the larger interest of development of the Union Territory.
