"The proposal is under active consideration of the Union Government," said Prabhu.
He was here to speak about NDA government's achievements in the last one year.

Andhra Pradesh falls under South-Central zone of Railways which is headquartered in Hyderabad. One of the assurances made by the Centre at the time of bifurcation was creation of new railway zone for the residual state of Andhra Pradesh.
