A crocodile was spotted on the Morjim beach, one of the most popular shorelines in Goa, officials said today.
The image of crocodile walking on the beach was captured by one local Nilesh Bagkar and he posted the image today on popular social networking website.
Deputy conservator of Forest D N F Carvalo confirmed that the crocodile was seen on the beach.
"The aquatic reptile must have arrived from nearby Chapora river and not the Arabian Sea. It must have walked to the beach from Chapora river," he said.
Morjim beach, 30 kms away from here, is one of the famous beaches in the state, especially with Russians.
