Lawyers of Orissa High Court along with members of other bar associations in Cuttack, including the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) bar association, resumed attending their respective courts today.
The lawyers were boycotting court activities since last week demanding rollback of the state government's recent decision to abolish all benches of the SAT.
Over 50,000 cases were now pending disposal in various benches of the Tribunal.
The Cuttack bench of SAT bar association secretary Ullash Mohanty said the lawyers have given one month deadline to the state government to reconsider its decision.
"If the government did not heed to our demand, we will resume the stir once again," he said adding, lawyers were contemplating to take legal recourse in the matter.
