A Booth Level Officer (BLO) in Dadri has been suspended for allegedly providing fake voter cards for a price, a senior official said today.
District Magistrate A V Rajamouli today ordered an inquiry in the matter and directed Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Yadav to conduct the probe.
In a sting operation by a news channel, BLO Mukesh Kumar was purportedly seen saying, "you are late, what are you saying, we could have increased the votes in sets of 100 and 200. We could have shown one person in one set."
He had purportedly said that bogus voter ID can be procured for a price.
Confirming the development, SDM Yadav said, "I have started the inquiry and asked for video clips from the news channel.
