Daily wager guarding endangered animals killed by tiger

A daily wage employee of Corbett Tiger Reserve, who was attacked by a tiger while he was patrolling in the park three days ago, succumbed to the injuries today.
The incident occurred on 18th of this month when the victim, identified as Rakesh Sharma, was patrolling at a hilly region near Kalgarh.
"Sharma with some others was hired on dailywages to look after the tigers and security of the reserve as the state employees had gone on strike," said Satish Chandra Upadhyay, warden of the reserve.
Sharma was first taken to Kashipur and then to a Haldwani hospital where he died.
