Damon spoke to Ryan Seacrest on the 2017 Golden Globes' red carpet and shared some memories about the actor, who committed suicide in 2014, reported E! Online.
The 46-year-old actor, who is also the producer of "Manchester by the Sea", said, "Oh, man, (I have) a lot of Robin Williams memories, good memories of him. And Ben said recently, it's weird, we always felt like we were going to, we had this incredible debt to pay him back."
He added, "That movie got made because Robin said he wanted to do it. That changed the trajectory of our careers completely, forever."
The 63-year-old actor had also received an Academy Award for best actor in supporting role for "Good Will Hunting".
