The story follows Gloria (Hathaway) who, after losing her job and boyfriend in New York, moves back to her hometown.
There, she eventually discovers that she is somehow strangely connected to a giant creature that is terrorizing Seoul and is wreaking havoc in the city.
Stevens, 33, will play the ex-boyfriend who originally scorns her only to later fight to win her back, reported Variety.
Jason Sudeikis also plays one of the lead characters in the film, which is currently in production in Vancouver.
Stevens will next be seen in indie feature "Criminal Activities" as well as in Disney's live-action adaptation "Beauty and the Beast (2017)", in which he stars as the titular Beast.
