Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today asked workers of BJP's Schedule Tribe Morcha to thwart anti-development elements who want to stall progress of society and the state by creating confusion in the tribal society.
Addressing office-bearers of the ST Morcha at the party office, Das said even after about 70 years of Independence tribals were deprived of basic amenities.
"Facilities cannot be reached to the villages, for which the government has taken up several important steps. The state government is committed to villages, the poor, the farmers, dalits and the deprived. Maximum projects of both the Centre and the state are being done for these sections," a party release said quoting Das.
It is important for the Morcha workers to take these projects to the people and be aware of middlemen, he added.
Addressing the meeting, Morcha's state unit president Ram Kumar Pahan said that the tribals in Jharkhand have always been aware about safeguarding their culture.
"It is necessary to reach out to the people to take BJP's policy and programmes through the Morcha," he said.
BJP believed in the policy of together with all and development for all and did not indulge in appeasement and vote bank politics. BJP made the state and all round development would also be done by it, he added.
