Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today directed the Deputy Commissioner of Hazaribagh to lodge a complaint against those guilty in illegal selling of government land, an official release said.
The government had received a complaint against former Congress MLA from Hazaribagh Sourav Narayan Singh and some of his family members for allegedly selling government land through illegal means.
Das asked the Deputy Commissioner to put a board of Jharkhand government on the disputed land and lodge a complaint under section 420 of the IPC against the guilty, the release said.
While reviewing complaints registered at the Jan Samvad here, the Chief Minister said said the people were masters in a democracy and their complaints should be disposed off swiftly.
"All complaints should be solved within a time frame," Das said.
Among several issues addressed by the Chief Minister during the Jan Samvad, he asked to clear the compensation amount of Rs one lakh to the family of Goutam Kumar Pandey, who was killed by Maoist Uday Oraon under Bhandara police station in Lohardaga district, the release added.
