Employees of the Delhi Government's - Delhi Administrative Subordinate Services Cadre (DASS) and Steno cadre today protested demanding cadre restructuring and arrears payment.
The employees said they were agitating due to "long pending demands" such as restructuring of cadre for equal payments and payment of arrear salaries. Employees claimed that they will launch a mega hunger strike from August 11 if their demands are not met.
"Along with restructuring of cadre and payment of arrear, we want transparent transfer and posting policies for us. We also demand cashless medical facility," said Umesh Batra of the association.
The DASS and Steno cadre employees of the Delhi government are considered to be the backbone of the government machinery.
Similarly, Ex-cadre Officials and Officers of the Directorate of Information and Publicity of Delhi Government raised the issue of disparity in payment.
Official claims, the Information officers of DIP are selected by UPSC, as in case of DANICS, but in last thirty years the Delhi Government has not paid any attention towards the pay scale of Ex-cadre Officers and Officials of the Information and Publicity.
"The Ex-cadre Officers and Officials of DIP are facing the grave discrimination and injustice from last thirty years and are running from the pillar to post for justice from government.
"The Services department and Finance department of Delhi Government have adopted double standards in the case of Ex-cadre Officers and Officials as a result the case has become a glare example of red-tape babugiri where no action has been taken at administrative level," Delhi Information and Press Relation's Association said in its statement.
