The 47-year-old star will perform during the opening ceremony of the football tournament at Stade de France in Paris on June 10 2016, reported Daily Mirror.
"Secrets out then. I am the musical ambassador for UEFA Euro 2016. @uefaeuro bring it on!" Guetta posted on twitter.
"It is incredibly exciting ... To be part of this huge football tournament in my home country. Music and football go hand in hand when it comes to celebration and enjoyment and I want to help to make this EURO the biggest and most memorable yet," he later added in a statement.
Guetta, who will also play a free concert at the Champ Mars in Paris on the eve of the tournament on June 9 2016, added, "We want the fans to be at the very heart of everything that we do."
The acclaimed French DJ has collaborated with stars including Rihanna, Kelly Rowland and Sia during his career, although it is not yet known whether a vocalist will feature on the tournament's anthem.
