Defamation case filed by Mayor: Website owner submits CD in

Owner of website niankhunta.Com Pradeep Pandey today submitted a CD containing a controversial video clip before the Bhubaneswar Civil Court (Senior Division) in connection with a defamation case filed by city Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena against him and the NSUI state chief.
The Mayor had filed the case accusing Pandey of maligning his image by posting on his website the video clip which he claimed was doctored.
Pandey, on the other hand, claimed that it was genuine and maintained that a forensic laboratory could examine the claim.
He also claimed that his website had never taken Jena's name in the video clip.

The video went viral on the social media in mid-December and NSUI state chief Itish Pradhan, who called a press meet on the issue, demanded Jena's resignation as also a CBI probe into the matter.
Jena has filed the defamation case against both Pandey and Pradhan.
